I played the map and I must say the gameplay is quite nice, it felt a bit like skynet maps. The only problem is that you're like 15 years late. We no longer accept new maps in this style and so it will be declined. You could try to get it onto DDROCK, but I don't know how to contact them or if they even have a discord server, maybe someone else knows.
I noticed a couple of issues as well, notably this part, tele shouldn't be there, it's currently impossible to pass this
here you need 3 tiles of space, it doesn't work with weak hook
I missed this tile and got confused later, it should be unskippable
there might be more issues, these are just the ones I noticed at first glance
one more glaring issue is the file size, you could perhaps reduce the amount of colors on the logo and credits, which would make it more compression friendly, there's also a bunch of unused images (blue ones can be removed)

like, was it a matter of the map layout that has an old model?
if i fix these mistakes and try to improve its appearance a bit, does it still have a chance of being accepted?

compare recently released maps and your one
It's the combination of layout, design, tight spaces etc. If you take a look at some oldschool maps like let's say skynet or koule, you'll see a similar style. Maps with this type of gameplay are oldschool and not accepted. This map would need a complete rework in order to be considered for release. Maps that we accept are spacious, nicely structured and flow well. One example that comes to my mind of a map with an oldschool vibe but modern way of mapping is Sunny Land.

you could also join a Moderate Server and checkout maps in Selected Maps section in a Call Vote tab, these are for the most part great maps, you could learn a thing or two from them

No you cant map for the oldschool category anymore. The oldschool category is speficially for really old maps that were played back then Same thing goes for the ddmax category.
The only reason you sometimes see "new" maps being added to the oldschool category is because someone found an old map that we didnt have on ddnet yet.
oldschool maps are maps that existed before DDNet
