they caused so much pain and suffering to me and all my friends when we were just starting out
the maps itself from old are indeed not some starter player could handling it... but i also was the only one who uses the assets that way... so lets say only suffering one "time"
This time the mapper is alot Player friendly and not stupidity faily. I hope it fulfills the tasks for DDNet, but I'm not quite sure. Anyway, feel free to test it.

the design, gameplay, structure, part themself have an old style, and ddnet have evolve, but it's well done, part work well and the switch part are not broken, but can be more develope. for entities, i understand that you want the switch for particular part, but most of the time it's too much with it's not needed, and same for stoppers also it's mapped for novice and also not rly adapted for them with all those switch
there are more complicated ones that require more brain like easyright
adapted for them with all those switch agree, but for example tele 12 is surprisingly fun with those draggers
i dont think it should be a straight up decline, maybe remove a few too confusing and/or hard parts ?
Well. The Theme itself is for Switched, and a Puller itself. Also can you show me some parts for example what is to much for stoppers or switches? So write it down for my next map. Or try to improve this one.
bad decline, this if finally a novice map / low mod that isnt just hookthroughs everywhere. i like the gimmicky feeling of the pullers instead of these stupid gimmicks we have nowadays

i think the testers as a whole should vote on this instead of only 1 tester declining it
around 70% trough, heres my thoughts so far
entire map feels like a low moderate if every part was nerfed for novice, either take away the nerfs or make it proper novice
just fyi there are votes for declines on some maps before a decline when a tester thinks that the decline is obvious, they wont wait for a vote on it (would be alot of time effort to vote on every decline)

i personally find the switches and stuff really fun, but the testers dont really like them
maybe better if you redid it in a modern style ?
im not really good in designing stuff so thats where my limits stuff are. but trying to map something in this style.....
its like anthony said, most maps have hooktroughs everywhere nowadays
it gets a little boring but theres a reason for it
for me its not a problem to improve alle the bug fixed i happy do this ....
to say it simple i should use hookthroughs instead of switchs/draggers....

imo you should make a generic novice map without any switches, just to get a feel for it
then make one combining the modern style with the fun switch gimmicks
and the visuals are "classic evoli" style, but imo it looks bad compared to maps like mint and eventide
try adding only grass_main and generic_unhookables, and experimenting with those

i have to say yes it looks better. but for me it would be to much design. maybe its my skill issue but i like it simple. i will see if can find my syle with a modern one.

i placed random grass tiles, overlapped some unhooks, used hooktrough where normal unhook didnt look as good, and then added random objects everywhere
i think this map would require alot of work to get into a releaseable state
the map itself is not the problem to rework. it wouldt for me take less fixed to make is playable. but the problem know, that i map an outdatet version of my mapping skills back 10 years ago, which is for now no anymore needet. That said finding a new Mapping style to match for the new DDrace is for me pretty difficult task.... To say it in less words. For Now the Map is Impossible to get reworked, its better to start a new one.
even though my map is to old for the "new" ddnet im still pretty happy about. that some people like it. ^^

you can still rework your map after a decline and send it again, technically it would be possible to rework this map, but it would take alot of effort, in testing it would take the time from the testers, but anybody who thinks they can make this map releaseable can help Evoli to work on it
the entire map is old style parts with fun gimmicks and outdated design, it would be such a big rework that its better to make a new map and copy over some ideas from this one

even with a reworked design, the parts are to outdated. it no way to make a sunken ship great again
the best way is a new map

Don't feel discouraged, your maps and your way of mapping are quite unique and definitely still appreciated by many people! I just played the first part and immediately recognized the style again. So good luck with your next mapping attempts, I'm sure you'll be able to leverage your mapping skills to the new meta somehow <33

From Cammodude and Vena i got some Advises to improve the Map. Would you mind to give me some hint, which Ideas in this Map are rather Ok to map in the next map and which Parts are simply outdated ?
on this map it's not that easy i can, as i offered, go through the map and explain my opinion, but there are many strong opinions against stoppers/pullers etc. i suggest to make a new map, because imo some parts don't work with the spacing you chose and it would be easier to replace the parts with more space
sure i can always hear some hints and tips to improve it.
