Looks to me like you don't have enough gameplay experience and interesting ideas to create fun and enjoyable parts. Most of your "parts" are just aleds and even if they were not, it would be really hard to create a good brutal version of this map. You should really try to find your own map style instead of touching maps for a rework. First you would need the agreement by the original mapper and 2nd it takes more mapping and gameplay experience to do that. As of now that isn't the case and I suggest you to start your own map by mapping parts one by one until you are satisfied with each part and then build them together to a cool map.

also... linear itself has tight spacing, so why did i get declined for that? i really like making maps, even though i dont know which parts are fun or how to map them, i still have enough experience for my first map. i thought making this map would bring more of a "challenge" to the community, and also, i didnt made this map for just that thing, i made it for this christmas event 2024 thing, so dont judge me, i just want to point out my main goal here. if reworking seems completely pointless, tell me why, and if so, where will i get help for my new map? i am not a experienced mapper, and i cannot make my own map on myself.

Apparently the rework isn't great in its gameplay... Even if you would rework the parts, I can't see them reaching the quality DDNet has atm. Look at other released Mod/Brutal maps to see what parts we are looking for and what todays "trend" is. Here you can find recently released ones. https://ddnet.org/releases/

I'm sure you get the point that your map isn't really interesting, nor does it provide quality gameplay. Even if you would reduce the aled amount to the half, it wouldn't make the map releaseable.

Creating your own parts by implementing your own ideas will change the whole process of making a good map. And while reworks aren't necessarily bad, they should provide some what special or even more unique gameplay/mechanics than casual maps. It might be harder to release such reworks because they take some more innovative thoughts imo. (really depends on the map).

Thats why I would suggest you to improve your quality, to create your own map first and take my advice for creating fun and good gameplay.

You put brutal parts into linear, but brutal parts need more space (unless it's high brutal or teamforce stuff). Event maps have to be kept in secret, don't just share them with everybody. Reworks are currently rather allowed for events and not really for normal releases.

This way, you won't occure the issue having parts in the map which you don't really like.. Because when starting a map, you might feel to be in a rush mapping it. That's why mapping part by part might be better. But it's totally up on you, just a suggestion buddy.

Honestly it’s pretty easy to break down here… a little harsh but easy.

The gameplay of your map basically only features aled‘s and nothing else. This is not innovative or creative and also it is repetitive and each of those has been seen more than multiple times.

Deleting those and replacing them with “real“ parts would be like remapping “your“ whole map.

Cases where multiple parts are expected to be fully replaced / excessively changed are being declined as this is supposed to be connected with a lot of time and work. So yes, it’s like a heavy red flag for testers to read that you’re basically going to change every aled which is basically your whole map.

if you want to understand the issues, you can read the feedback again and ask questions. as said we suggest you to look at recently released ideas. i would also suggest you to start making maps by yourself instead of starting with reworking, so you learn how to create good gameplay. the process of thinking about part ideas helps you to understand how to create a specific gameplay. you learn a lot about spacing when mapping on your own.
