this is your map's testing channel! Post map updates here and remember to follow our mapper rules: https://ddnet.org/rules
I have tested it a bunch of times, however I had to buff some certain stages even though I wasn't ready to actually play the buffed versions yet, because I somehow wasted almost an entire day mapping this ;w;
I'll update it tomorrow, because it's 2 a.m. already ;w;
But it's done!
And yes it has no checkpoints!
this is not gonna cut it
I'd recommend taking more time mapping your maps (I know from experience
). Maps can take weeks or even months to make if you want to try and get them released. I recommend looking at other recent solo maps if you want to get inspiration for parts, rather than just mapping simple platformer sections
i don't wanna be rude but its not gonna make it atm
tbh it looks like oldschool
look at other solo maps to see what is getting accepted lately
Tbh the thing that reminded me the most about this game was just for platforming... ;_;
for something platforming wise u would need to make it more entertaining atm it just feels like oldschool
So this is what Oldschool looked like...?
well this map just reminds me of 2012 maps
If you want to make maps around platforming, look at the map "Sunny Night" by Deeper for inspiration, it's a good platforming/hook precision map released recently
Hmmm...I think I sorta got the similar results to osu! modding too when I then tried to mimic the older styles of it...
(osu! is an entirely different game ik, but it has an editor and a more complicated nominating system or whatever...)
cries in eternity for not being able to even get a map ranked
Oh well.
I am getting close though..
I got 39 declines before my first release
You'll get there eventually
Well in osu! it's actually much worse... ;w;
I think..
Actually wait..
ok nvm
Anyways do you still find the touhou reference cool....? :3
If you wanna learn mapping, I would advise you to try making a co-op map (using freeze and teleport tiles rather than kill tiles) and getting familiar with how we expect a map to be structured by playing some more. That way you'll have a lot more possibilities for mapping, the most important thing is creating a nice player experience so there's no need to make things more difficult for yourself if you're a beginner.
Hmmmm..yeah I still do not know how the teleport tiles work ;w;
wait what about the number on the top..?
That's how you switch the tele numbers
So like you can make the red block show the number 2 or 3 or 4 instead of 1 like the yellow one?
Yes that's how you make multiple areas have you teleported to different places
Okay thanks!
ahhhhhhhhhh
cool
it does look quite long tho
or that's just the image trying to tell me what to place at which order..
Oh well that was literally day 2 of me playing the game, so yeah... =P
Good night! I have to sleep ;w;
taking CP and going to CFRM ( blue saves your movement speed , red resets your movement speed ) will tele you to CTO There is also tele from ( blue and red ) witch teleports you (tele) TO .( you don't need here taking CP but it will always tele you and same TO )
The map is to simple , also have skips . Play map tutorial it's good map and compare it with your map . Be creative with parts , look and play other released maps (except oldschool maps ) And try creating at least one good part and share with it so we could tell is it good part or not and you would continue making next parts .
Hmmm nah lol
Depends :)
