Hello Никита, thanks for submitting your map!
As I see, this might be one of your first maps :) I could definitely notice that you got inspired in your work by the map Linear, which is a good thing!
However, in terms of quality and experience, your map is clearly in its early stages, which means you will need to gain a lot more gameplay knowledge to know whether parts are well playable, what makes them well playable and what our current standards are.
Your map is well organized and that might be because you gained some experience on the map Linear already, so you should keep that mapping grind going, but gain way more experience throughout a lot other maps first!
The best thing you could do, to look for our current standards, is to look at the recently released maps in that category. You can always check the channel
#announcementsto see which map got released recently. Another way to check for recently released maps, is when check the voting menu. There will always be the latest maps shown which got released.
Gameplay and mapping-wise there is no way around than playing a lot maps and gaining more experience while implementing your own part ideas. Try to be unique in your mapping style and create some gameplay which could also be different from other Novice maps you have played.
Some modern mapping standards which you should take care of are:
- enough space in every part
- avoid repetitive gameplay
- no use of special tiles such as
and many others (which you took care of)
Make sure to test your map with some friends you might make while playing and if you have questions occurring in the mapping/testing process, then feel free to ask anyone in
#mappingso we can help you.
Your skills in the editor don't seem bad at all, and I could imagine you building some nice maps in the future if you keep going the grind!
bro look the map it's linear .... just differently mapped ...
Soo not linear?
linear 2015 edition
Mapper built a similar version based on inspiration. Not bad for the beginnings of mapping.
But everything has been said already.
