it is not as far as i saw. Most people know that i am a big oldschool fan and released bunch of it as tester

lmao it actually has a huge skip xD

fixed the fullcut. it skips literally 90% of map and is kinda easy to do. You can still get out of the map now but not in again

add red tele and new ht?

these are things you can change without changing the gameplay

then the map is not quite so annoying

we have released a bunch of oldschoolmaps and teles and HT werent touched in any of them

since old vs new ht doesnt have as much gameplay effect

oldschool server is for archiving maps not to make the best playable maps

just cause the map is old doesnt mean it cant be fixed imo

those "bugs" are features in oldschool maps for example in speedruns

i remember saavik changed teles in maps and made them unplayable

i played before ddnet ddmax etc. i prefer red tele and new ht 😛

it doesnt make sense to keep skips which lets u skip complete map

because the use of oldschool also is to show old mechanics and ideas

and for this u have to play map

u can keep the ht bugs with new ht

the point of oldschool server is to have the "oldschool experience" as close aswhat it was X years ago

changing all that entirely defeats that purpose

and yes its also viable to make a revamped version of the map to fit todays standards and make them more mainstream but thats a different approach and almost every oldschool map have the approach of keeping things as intact as possible

on sleepy 2 there is a part which gives u 20 seconds in a speedrun because of that

i mean we released a total rework of an oldschool map with LichKing on Oldschool

you can do that but its not really an oldschool map by this

if u want "oldschool experience" just play the other 200 oldschool maps that are basically the same

ddmax is mostly unfun because its often out of trashy purple panic parts

I thought the same for a long time, but idk after a long time playing "perfect" maps adapted to a lot of standards, it's nice to play some mess with creative ideas

fixed edges sometimes being a gametile and sometimes not. Only fixed the design, so the gameplay hasnt been touched

just a cleanup in editor: unused images, too big layers, wrong backgrounds
