some parts are hard if this is your first map

also some faily parts that could get frustrating in the beginning

I think you have to add ,,turn off entities'' when there are indications even if most new players don't play with entities

Hello there ! 😄 ive gone through the map with Welf and found some stuff to point out, starting with this pic, you can add Hookthrough (blue line) so they can save a bit easier. Also move it 1 tile to the left (white line) so they dont have to be right at the edge to hook and (red line) add unhook so they dont hook the ground and fail.





maybe 2 hookthrough tiles in the middle


about that prelast screen, i said one sided hookthrough so you can hook from the bottom and hook through from the top

but that would be hart to mark

i just think grapplin is one of the hardest for news to control xD and this map has some hard climbing (not that bad imo but still)

would mark these unfreezes since they are different from the rest or put them on the ground? (i assume they're vertical for speedruns)

idk about this map... 80% solo parts... hard movement parts... i think when this map got 4 or 5* u have to add more parts

i felt these two parts were still a little harder compared to the rest. for the part with the stoppers, maybe give 1 tile more space? and for this part where u need a good angle, maybe you could try putting some hookthrough to the right and a hookable so they can just aim thru that instead of having to use the hookable on the left


I don't think its too hard for new players . it could be a bit hard but its easy to save. this could help them learn hook and teamwork

I made this map for new players. According to my observations of chn server players in the past few days, this map may be a little challenging but it should have fun for t0 players. is it too hard?I'm not sure whether to reduce the difficulty




its probably pretty hard for new players but i think they will get thru it

if theres someone in the server that's good at the game it will at least be easier than most of the maps ppl are playing now

its novice, not novice + pro

dont think every new novice map has to be super beginner friendly now they will eventually get better and they'll need harder novice maps and thats what this map s for xd

yea i saw many of them playing multimap, they failed again and again but keep playing it,so I think new players are willing to accept challenges

tbh i think this map is good as it is, as louis said they can get through it. Its really easy to pass the part with more ppl helping each other but its good

yeah just change the stuff that feels unbalanced for us and where they can fail too easily, people also need more good maps like this after they finished the 1* maps

There are 3 parts where u need another player to do the parts, the rest is possible solo.
For new players it should be a good map to start with. Its really easy, not so faily but new players could stuck in freeze if they cant hook properly. Should not be more than 2-3* novice.
Design is rly beautiful and I dindt find any bugs o:

weird animation lines (probably everywhere where is this freeze tiles) above or under freeze in 144hz

We had a quick walkthrough. In my opinion this is a cool balanced "advanced" hook training novice map.



I suggest to remove the corner at the top left, so every hammerthrow works (it can be annoying to bump in, but if you want it like this, it's fine). I also recommend to add hook at the ceiling, because some might want to use the hook at the right side and eventually block other players for that, so the hook would just add more space to your part.

OK how should I do about your first screen,the respawn one

i thought you would come up with a way by your own
if you don't know how to make it in a way you like it, maybe don't do it
idk if it would work, you can put a tune zone in the freeze and do like tune_zone_enter 1 "press f1 and write bind k kill to respawn on pressing k" (oh i also think k is the default kill bind already xD)
or just add a text to your map

i wouldn't say thats needed ._.

but if u want it to look good and not spam ppl in chat just put text in ur design and give it a para y so when you hop into the freeze it pops out

or something similar

Map feels kinda weirdly balanced, there are a few parts that seem more moderate than novice. It was interesting but I feel parts might need to be made a bit easier for the novice server. Also I don't really think the start is good for team 0, I think there would be quite a bit of blocking there.

The speedups do not necessarily have to be seen in the design, as they are only anti fail. All other 'bugs' are ok for me, I think the map is ready now
