My unused reaccion
Do I need to move block groups from embedded to external? Sorry if it's not clear, I don't speak English well and used a translator.
español¿
well, everything that can go external should go external
Should I just upload a new version of the map here?
Yes 👍
added :Time cps are missing on the map
- dont spam shields like that you should fill the stoppers
- you deep him here for nothing you could just fill the freeze again also you cant differentiate from unfreeze and undeep
- you first need to get on to that block then get grabbed and if you walk back into tp you need to redo the part also the ending feels akward beacuase you dont have dj 4.this part seems a bit hard maybe remove all this freeze and make these blocks hookable its quite difficult for novice
- you give shotgun here and here you dould make it so you only need to place it once
- you spma shields here again and i dont uderstand why no hamer is needed here
- you can very easily fall into the tp here
- you jump into these tps very easily and all these jumps feel akward
- i think you want ppl to do this part by using the weapons but you can just hook him overall your map feels quite plain and simple try taking a look at newly released novice to get an undertanding of what the testers are looking for
Have to agree on the stuff ililja mentioned. Even tho you would fix the issues, the map wouldn't have the potential for getting a release.
The problem is mainly that the parts aren't consistent in its difficulty and the lack of well integrated parts which should exist to create a good flow and make it enjoyable. While its hard to come up with creative parts in the Novice category, you could still give every part of the map one more thought process when mapping to offer a bit more exciting and smooth gameplay which makes up for a lot already.
If you look at our recently released Novice maps you can see how other mappers did it. You could take the map "Chill Wood" as an example. It offers unfreeze spots after every part and has some nice transition into the next part if played smooth.
I hope you can work with my feedback and actually raise your own mapping quality. If you got questions, feel free to ask and there is also the
#mappingchannel where you can share info with other mappers or ask questions :D
this map is gonna be declined
