start is pretty meh (maybe add unfreezes or 1 sec freezes to make gameplay better so u dont have to wait in freeze all the time), but other than that there is nothing really to change. add /spec otherwise no point for team 0 or is it supposed to be teamforce?

Oh you guys want to release this? Don't get me wrong, I don't think this map is bad but I think in comparison to Hostile 3 it's lacking in quality and even Hostile 3 was only played by Cor and me (and paradise and Broke for money but I don't think that counts right here) Hostile 3 was a big flop and this one's quite obviously worse (if that's just subjective let me know but I don't think so) I would probably play it but it didn't seem like a good map that the community would enjoy

In my opinion these tight precise kill tile movements and advanced map length just don't go hand in hand and therefore make an issue
For example Hostile 1/2 were such kind of tight kill tile maps and those were rather fine An example for the other way around would be Adrenaline maps - those were also quite popular due to their lenght and fair failiness Hostile 3 combined both and therefore was way less appealing to the community

Nah even if i agree about the quality, the map is way easier, that mean more team would play it, and t0 can be inresting here. The problem of "who play hostyle3" is more like, who can play it, it need good sync between the players, no error, and advanced skill, that why i think it's ok to rls this one, it's an easier version .
I don't think easier difficulty justifies that Especially I don't think the testing system is designed to have easier maps require lower quality standards (obviously even more important if it's similar to maps that didn't get good feedback) Anyway, I don't really think this map is that much easier As far as I can see 2 ppl want to release it and 2 ppl (IKU and Savalic are against it) - I don't really mind what happens to this map but there should probably be some more opinions about this
No, i was justifying the number of player by the difficulty of hostyle 3. But i understand that points, maybe it need a vote in tester channel.
Just wanted to point out that I think the overall quality of the map could easily be higher by not just being punishing kill tile spam or if so, splitting the map and therefore be much more appealing to the community (I still hope this is being released tho)

Oh I forgot to mention Tested the map with the mapper yesterday and he agreed to do some changes (restructuring of the start, QoL fixes (including stuff that doesn’t work properly), perhaps also cheat fixes if he wants to prevent those)
Map will probably be a banger after this 🔥 But I think you can put it in waiting for mapper for now

Literally this First of all i think maps like these need to have a playthrough attached in testing channel cuz right now 2-4 ppl actually spent (more like wasted tbh) time to test the parts and make their opinion on the map Secondly if anything, Hostile 3 shouldve been the lesson about absurdly faily and long insane maps - that is no one actually wants to play them (when rerate btw? making it 4-5 would not only encourage more players but also not overrate the difficulty of other insane 2 maps). And for what little testing i could do (just literally spectating the map lol) this one is way way longer than hostile 3 but more consistent So basically what will happen on release: everyone joins the map -> sees that its the same as hostile 3 -> leaves
Also what happened to the whole "not annoying" thing? From what i can see only 2 players actually enjoyed it (who are basically gods of ddnet btw) then 2 also very skilled players didnt and everyone else probably did the same thing that will happen to this map on release, so in the end it all comes back to the map not having a video Even if Im not good enough to play and test the map myself I can at least see how consistent the parts are just by looking at their completion

i dont think it's a good idea, they is many way to pass the part, and you can use this spot for it. it's always cool to have many ways to play a map/part

if you jump a little bit too late (red mark) you will bounce differently and from that position holding hook+D will cause fail
otherwise its perfect setup, just not for that case

I think you’re terribly misunderstanding something here. It’s not about wether you as mapper can do the part somewhat consistently or not.
The stuff pointed out is the bare minimum you’re supposed to fix and there will be yet more to come.
Regarding the 2 videos you posted: It doesn’t matter whether you can pull it off consistently, it’s just not necessary to map it that precise and weird and thereby force everyone who wants to play the map to practice it in and out.
This right here isn’t a wishing well and we are trying to make your map better and get it into a releasable state so I don’t quite know what this is about.
Please consider having a look at the above-mentioned feedback again and if not feel free to have another tester test the map if you think they‘d see it differently, as we are not putting it to ready then

He talked with the mapper and declined it so they talked about it and the mapper knows i guess ^^
I talked to the mapper and he said testers declined because discord ran out of channels.
testers wanted to clean up some maps and my map isn't that good for release so i'm fine with the decline
But u know why ur map bad? I just want to make sure you don't make the same mistakes on the next map.
