i could make the room smaller yes but i dont want to be in a small room and feel caged if that make sense and i dont think 80fps is that bad it still should be smooth

idk i have on normal maps 1k + with design

uhm no idea you lose 10 seconds every mhh 1.5 seconds i didnt bother to perfect that system and you start with almost 13 hours so alot ?

80 feels laggy für me

are you sure it isnt only the first 3 seconds that are laggy because the bullets are turned off ?

maybe add some bullets coming from bottom (just a few)

so the inevitable bottom part could be usefull

cant really do that because they would be in a certain spot so they dont colide with the weapon tele from the other side

after playing the map some more i think most things are fine. the only thing now is the fps issue + is it too easy / too hard

things that are not entirely map breaking changes

if we want to reduce the number of bullets, the height of the play area will have to be reduced. there's not much we can do about that

i only really play at 1 or 2 zoom levels away from default anyway, i dont need to see anywhere close to the weapon tp

and as for the bottom, i really think it's fine if you can see the bottom and there's transparent design layer that can fade the bullets as they teleport a bit

but i understand the aesthetic of never seeing when the bullets TP / where they come out

an easy way to reduce the number of bullets maybe is playing with the width a bit?

like 3-4 tiles narrower?

not enough where it would affect play but just enough where it could help with some of the lag

i have a good pc and i get 240 fps, which is not a good sign since i know many people have worse specs than me

yeah i have on other 'normal' maps 1000fps+

on this map between 80 and 60

i think if the height is reduced a bit and some width is taken down it would be less laggy

it will always be laggy with so many bullets though, just kinda part of the map

i personally think it can be a bit easy once you zoom out a bit and plan a route 12 tiles ahead, but we should find a balance of "possible to get a low time" vs "hard to get any good time"

i lean more towards "hard to get any good time" and just make the total time added at start less

and then ofc make the map harder

since playing the map for several minutes straight can get boring

OR just make the amount dummy reduces time by greater

idk how to improve this, its bullet spam

i still think it's possible to vary the bullet densities in different patterns with randomized tp where some tiles are weighted so they are more / less common to be selected

but when people with bad pc say it's not laggy i don't know exactly what the problem is....

which might make the gameplay less random but have specific "areas" where a certain movement is needed

it's definitely a cpu-bound issue

is there a reason the final setup column for bullets is only partially filled in? did u previously try it with a full column and it was too hard?

yes it was even less before and for me this amount of bullets was ok didnt like it much harder

i think tho with that map the grenades despawn quickly, but in this map the bullet entities are always loaded

that would still cause lag though

so i think if that map was approved there is no reason this map should get declined only based on lag

yes the placements of the bullets is random, but not the density :D

i think that really is what makes it interesting, is changing the density randomly

from my point of view, u should map it without force unlock. if u want to go for better time, u always have to rejoin team

the reason sorah did this is so that only your main tee gets the time, just like a normal dummy map

but since it's a Fun map maybe we shouldn't care about this

if you want to go for a better time you can kill before the unlock even happens you have 5 seconds to kill after you get hit by a bullet

i didnt look at the mechanic of time calculating but isnt it possible to calculate a time wich is close to real one ? dont know if negative timing can be saved so far. guess u would added it, if its possible tho

if you mean that the timer doesnt jump around in theory yes if i ever find the correct speed which the dummy has to move but i stil think it would be still of by 0.0001 seconds so never 100% perfect so i didnt care about it

there might be a speedup speed that's consistent with some number of seconds but it would be pretty unlikely

cant be set to solo, the dummy is what decreases time

my pc is bad with usually getting 150 fps on maps with hd turned off, with hd on i didnt get much lag on this map

have you tried to fullscreen and changing resolution lower ?
