this is your map's testing channel! Post map updates here and remember to follow our mapper rules: https://ddnet.tw/rules
as a first part, this is very tight, imagine 15 players trying to do this here and they will just trample over eachother
another thing to note is that you jump straight into 1jump + no hook right after the first part. i'd try to hold back on special powerups until you get further into the map so people aren't getting random things thrown at them after the first part
again for this solo part, if you want to put a solo part, force the solo tiles or else people will block eachother
just a smallnote, you give endless hook before the end of the solo, but you use it on the part after the solo. you should give powerups on the parts that require them so people don't get confused
you can skip both laser and shotgun for this part, as you can do a throw to skip the first freeze, and hammerfly past the tele part.
for this long drag part, the stoppers dont work too well since you can get stuck in stoppers more than you can get stuck in a block ,which makes it a little frustrating
since the walljump part here isnt solo, you can just cheat it by hammerflying and you dont have to use any of the walljumps
you have a lot of drag parts like these all over the map, but they aren't really "new" drag parts as they are just a lot of corners in a row. it's similar to a lot of low effort old maps like purple panic and a lot of maps in the ddmax category
i would refrain from using this style and try to go for something a little more creative, as we already have tons of maps with parts like these
also its very tight, you can count only 2 blocks between the tele and the block which can be annoying
it looks like this map was inspired by Kobra and similar maps, and its good to have inspiration but kobra is a very old map and i'd suggest looking at newer released maps to derive inspiration from.
as you can see there's a lot of stuff to fix in the first few parts and the whole map as well
however, if this is your first map you should be really proud because it looks like a lot of effort was put into it, and it's pretty good for someone's first map. if this was submitted in 2016 i could see many people playing it
nowadays though there are new standards for mapping so we can't exactly release it as it is right now
I would suggest playing newer maps and maybe playing harder difficulties so you understand more about ddrace physics, and if you want, you could create a fresh new map
for now i will decline it as there are a lot of bugs. if you have any more questions feel free to ask here or in
#mapping$decline
Thank you so much for the feedback! Yes, this is my first map. I'm going to try to make a new one which will hopefully fix these issues. Again, thank you so much!
