Like I wrote earlier neither I nor Obst give any permission to have this map on ddnet. I have other plans for this and other Obst's maps. Design haven't been made by Trax. Making ONE of tilesets for tw community is not the same as making whole design for specific map.

I mean technically I made a map in 2016 and only ever submitted it to ddnet but it never made it on, and I just found yesterday that it was on ddrock somehow. I was never told about it or asked, but I'm happy it got some use. I only mention this bc its a bit hypocritical to talk about stealing maps in this way.

For this map I feel it should be the same sorta thing, I'd be surprised if Obst would be against putting his map onto a new server when on ddrock it only has 12 total finishers. I enjoyed playing it and I think it would get more love to be on DDNet too.

From now on, anything written here must be related to the testing of that map

We never asked people for permissions on old maps. And yet we never had someone complaining that his maps are online so a wide Playerbase can Play a such nice map Like this. And even now we dont See the mapper complaining, just two people who are known for having issues with ddnet itself

I see it as just historical preservation its an open source game and its not for profit i don't see any issue with hosting the maps at all. Tsin loves and defends ddmax so hard but calls ddnet hosting the maps stealing them. If ddnet didnt host them no one would ever play the maps he loves so much.

I'm genuinely disappointed at anybody who knows about map copyrights, because they could've mentioned it way earlier. So where we stand now: • DDNet is not restricted to publish a map with no license in it • Other people excluding the Author itself are not responsible to have claims of restriction without clear evidence • Other people shouldn't be allowed to have another conversation in part of a previous (active) one, which has no connection to an issue that's being brought.

I'll say, according to what I state here, it can be released, if the Author is not present, the map has no license and the ddnet mappers have no issues releasing it.
