you realize this doesn't make the map any better?

since the only feedback was 50% "i cant join the map" and 50% "its too long" ive splited into 2 maps. hopefully it wont crash the client anymore. also i disagree with ravies feedback. parts are well mapped and ive made a good balance of faily parts, normal drag parts and other tele parts. also every single part is unique and if u take a look at the whole map ull see i am right with this. hope people will test the map now and post some feedback

im glad if u dont like the map style or think parts are not very well. but i took much effort and work into every single part. so it would be nice if u give it a chance since it took many many days of work

I looked over it and played it in my head, most of it is random edgehooks and tight hammerflies and just spammed as many crappy parts as possible to make the longest map ever

i dont think its a good idea to make 2 maps out of it. seems like the same move silex did with adre4. isnt insane server made for these kinds of map?

if u want we can test it or u can still say u dislike the map. but decline instead and dont give other people a chance to test and rate the map is not fair at all

i think the client crashes must have to do with some design or setting in the map. not the size of it

I've had crashes when making a ridiculously big layer before, but honestly you could have squeezed this map into half the space if it wasn't so wasteful (still wouldn't be a good map tho)

it was still hard to load in editor and took a few secounds to join the map without any tilesets. so i dont think its cuz of the tileset or something. also the tilesets are just basic ddnet tilesets

I think you just need to wait a bit until map loads in

my client almost crashed too but i just waited it out and then i tloaded

the gameplay is consistent, not overwhelming but also not bad. I am not entirely sure if it's worth releasing, a part of me thinks it would be a neat addition as it's so long and must be quiet the achievement / journey to finish this map. and after all, the parts are decent. but than many are against releasing this. anyways as it is right now, it will probably chill in testing for a long time, especially because it was split in two so I think you really have to do 2 things before we can do more testing
1) combine the maps again. 2) use the space more efficiently, maybe fit everything in a single 1500x1500 layer if that's possible. just a lot more dense.


i didnt play whole map just spectated it, i think it could be very nice generic worldlike map for current time but not like how is it now, a lot of parts are not big group friendly which is super bad for such map and its not releasable because of that

We (testing team) have agreed these maps aren't worth releasing, because they're clearly quantity over quality. Feel free to condense both maps into a single reasonable length map with only the best parts, then it might have a chance for release.
